Modern World, Modern Home: Ultra Contemporary Doors
Every home needs a front door but your choice of design will rely heavily on your personal preferences. Offering the sophisticated look of a timber door but with the use of specially developed materials which offer unrivalled energy efficiency and stability, our traditional glass reinforced doors are already a popular option. But now there is an even better option for those with modern homes – Ultra Contemporary doors.

With a minimalistic and streamlined design, our Ultra Contemporary doors exude elegance. Offering you a style which is unlikely to go out of fashion, everything but the structure and composition of this new range differs from the classic design of our Traditional doors. We even offer the 10 year guarantee on the whole door and the lifetime guarantee on the sealed unit – something that can be transferred to new homeowners should you decide to move.
Why go modern?
For those with modern homes, these doors are ideal. You get all of the benefits you’d expect from modern craftsmanship without compromising on practical features. All of our doors are made-to-measure so you don’t need to worry about finding one that fits perfectly either. The high-quality material means these doors are virtually-maintenance-free, with assured durability against the material flaking or rotting.
Exclusive to Everest, there are a huge range of styles for you to choose from with customisation available on the letter box, glass panels, handles and even on which way the door opens. You can also choose to have the door a different colours on the inside to the outside, allowing you to maintain your interior design themes without influencing your home’s external appearance.

Using triple glazing for superior insulation and PAS23 and PAS24 testing for weather resistance performance against security standards, these doors are more than just a pretty front to your property.
All glass panels use toughened safety glass as standard and high-security hinges ensure every aspect of your door meets the highest security considerations. There’s also a weather drip fitted above the top of the door to deflect rain water away from the surface of the door to protect it against the elements.

No matter what type of home you have you’ll want a front door which matches it. Whilst those with modern properties may find a range of options which fit seamlessly with their home, those in period properties sometimes face a slight struggle – but not anymore.
Another new addition to our popular range of glass reinforced (GRP) doors, our Heritage doors are ideal for those with period properties looking to embrace traditional features. You get the same high levels of security and insulation found in all our glass reinforced doors but with an appearance which takes inspiration from times passed.

These doors stand at the other end of the scale to our ultra-contemporary doors, which are designed with the modern property in mind, but still boast a great range of features.
Taking inspiration from the past
With a choice of 15 colours and a vast selection of decorative and patterned glass options, Everest Heritage Entrance Doors offer unbeatable versatility. You can even have a different colour on the inside of the door to the outside.
Although these doors boast the style benefits of traditional timber front doors, that isn’t to suggest they sacrifice the practical assets of modern styles. Triple glazing ensures that energy efficiency is at the top of the door’s score sheet with a range of security features such as high-security hinges and a stainless-steel locking system to put your mind at rest whether you’re at home or away.

Unlike old doors, our Heritage front doors also boast maintenance-free upkeep. Simply wiping the surface with a damp cloth now and again is all that’s needed to keep them looking brand new. There’s even a lifetime guarantee on the sealed unit as a sign of our confidence in the door’s ability to resist condensation and fogging between the glass panes.
The door frames are reinforced with steel whilst metal brackets prevent the glass being removed from the outside – features which are concealed within the door to maintain the traditional appearance whilst offering you the protection you deserve.
Rigorously tested for security and performance, our Heritage Doors offer a great way to embrace the past whilst making use of everything modern technology has to offer.

Is your home ready for winter?
With Christmas decorations already cropping up across the UK and the changing of the clocks marking the official end of British Summer Time, there’s no escaping from the fact that winter is upon us once more. While there are many things to enjoy about this time of year, cold nights and soaring energy bills aren’t among them. That’s why ensuring that your home offers as much warmth and protection as possible this winter should be one of your highest priorities. Here’s just a few of the ways that Everest can help…
Even if you already have double glazing, you could still be letting out more heat than necessary if your windows are worn-out or badly fitted. Everest’s double glazed windows are specially designed for optimal insulation, and are available with features such as double weather-resistant seals, low-emissivity glass to reflect heat back into the room, and the latest thermal barrier technology to minimise heat transfer through the frame. Considering how much time we spend in them, it’s all too easy to overlook your hallway when it comes to redecorating your home. It’s the first thing you see when you get home after a long day, and also the first impression visitors will get when they step through your front door.
So, with all of this in mind, it’s definitely worth the time and effort to make your entrance hall as attractive and practical as any of the rooms it leads into. There are a number of things you could do to make your hallway more appealing – from hanging some family photos to creating an understated storage space for all the bits and pieces that tend to gather and create clutter. However, one of the most significant factors that can determine how pleasant your hallway looks and feels is the state of your windows and front door.

Many Everest customers come to us under the assumption that entrance doors are a fairly standardised ‘one size fits all’ product. However, as with so many of our products, there is actually a vast amount of choice available when you’re shopping for a new entrance door, from materials and designs to colours and door furniture, giving you the opportunity to enjoy an individualised door that really suits the style of your home.
If you’re looking to replace your existing entrance door, your first consideration should be how you want your new door to look. If you want a more traditional look, our GRP entrance doors are the ones that most closely resemble what you might think of as a ‘classic’ entrance door – with a solid, steel reinforced frame and a small ‘fanlight’ style window at the top. Authentic door leaf gives it a wooden appearance.
We can also offer more modern door designs in uPVC and aluminium, with bright surfaces and larger glass panels to let in plenty of light. Hardwood entrance doors strike an attractive balance between the traditional and contemporary thanks to the rustic finish and the bright, modern glass. All of these doors are optimised for security, durability and thermal performance, so the decision as to which material to use will often come down to what look suits your home better.
Once you’ve chosen your door design, the next step is to identify any specific requirements. Do you want the door to open inwards or outwards? Do you want to enjoy the extra light provided by larger window panels without compromising your privacy? Do you want your door frame to be differently coloured on the inside and outside? We can tailor your door to all of these requirements and much more, so whatever you’re looking for, don’t be afraid to ask us during your free, no obligation initial consultation.
Finally, you can add the finishing touches to your new entrance door with our huge selection of door leaf colours and design options, handle and letter plate covers and patterned glass options.
Fill in an online appointment form or contact us on 0800 008 7126 to find out more about our entrance doors. For a limited time only you could also enjoy fantastic discounts of up to 35% in the Everest Summer Sale, plus earn £100s for your existing door with our Replace, Recycle, Reward scheme.
