Blogs Everest Loves: Design Hunter

Blogging has gained popularity over the last decade, with people of all ages and backgrounds offering their views and opinions on a whole range of topics.

Whenever you’re in need of a bit of inspiration on anything from interior design to gardening, you’re sure to find it by logging onto a few of our regular favourite blogs.

Here is one of our recent favourites; we hope you will like it as much as we did:

The diverse mix of home and interior design tips available on the Design Hunter blog serve to create one of the most entertaining and engaging blogs you could wish to find.

In the Home & Interior section, the tips which are on show are definitely designed with the quirkier readers in mind. Among the more interesting blog posts are tips on how to get inspiration from Nordic design elements this winter, a feature on a particularly eclectic front room in a modern Brazilian apartment and a look into the merits of using marble within your home.

‘Marble- the classical, the modern & the contemporary’ is possibly the most interesting post in this section. It looks at the different ways that marble can be used within the modern home, even for quite practical purposes such as creating tables and chairs. As the post describes, it certainly seems as though marble could be “the way forward in 2013”.

Another post, looking at ‘How to style your window ledge’, comments on the possibilities that are open to all of us in terms of decorating one of the home’s more overlooked aspects. Perfume bottles and glass jars are recommended alongside other items in an attempt to brighten up the humble window ledge. After all, it’s probably an area of the home that we could all do with addressing a little more.

The most striking thing about the Design Hunter blog is the fact that it’s not afraid to look beyond conventional ideas in offering recommendations on everything from winter fashion to furniture tips.

It is this fearless approach to modern design that makes it stand out from similar blogs. The vast majority of the posts on offer have this fearless and unconventional style in common.

From the idea of using neon lights to reinvigorate a dull room to using blue as a singular theme throughout an entire room, there are numerous ideas that you can be certain you will not come across on many interior blogs.

With Christmas around the corner, anyone who is expecting visitors and is struggling for simple but inventive tips about recreating a front room or reorganising their furniture should certainly visit the Design Hunter blog.

Any new visitors to the blog are likely to be as taken with the range of ideas and tips on show as they are with the colourful pictures and engaging posts available. Any first time visitors who happen to stumble onto the blog will surely find that their first time is not their last!
